Finders Keepers Educational Charters are an opportunity to
shorten the very large learning curve for targeting trout and
salmon on Lake Ontario, walleye on Oneida Lake, general
trolling techniques, or working with youth to develop general
angling skills. They are tailored to our clients' request for
what they would like to learn during the charter. The main
emphasis on these charters is to learn and practice the skills,
however we will also try to put some fish on the deck as well!
We offer two types of educational charters:
Instruction on My Way or Instruction on Your Boat
(a 34' Amberjack Sea Ray (Captain comes on your vessel)
out of Sodus Bay) (out of your port of choice)
or our smaller lake boat
(18 ft Starcraft for anywhere else)

Things to know about the charters:
*A $200 deposit is required to secure each date in the books. If the charter
gets canceled due to weather concerns, the deposit can be forwarded to a
new date or will be refunded.
*The consumption of alcohol or use of any drugs is strictly prohibited on all
educational charters - no exceptions. If a client is under the influence at
the time of departure, the charter will be canceled and deposit forfeited.
*On an angler's vessel the Captain will not assume any responsibility for the vessel, any
mishaps aboard the vessel, or losses thereof.
*The captain reserves the right to call a charter early due to weather or other concerns,
and may issue a refund if necessary.
*A charter agreement waiver must be signed by both the hiring angler and the captain
prior to departing shore for a charter on a client's vessel - this will be provided by
the captain upon arrival.
*Rates do not include any tips (its customary to tip 15-20% if you enjoyed the charter)
these are often given to the Capt. or mate (when available) who assists the Capt. to
ensure an enjoyable experience.
